About My Approach

My priorities as a teacher are to create a compassionate and patient environment for your learning, and to help you regain or refine your authority over your internal experience.

Three images of student demonstrating a Feldenkrais movement: lying on back with knees bent and arms straight toward the ceiling with palms together. In the second image students tilts her legs, in the third, she tilts her arms to the side..

If you no longer feel pleasure in moving, you may need to work with a different set of criteria. Away from quantity and toward quality, away from the pain/gain model and toward comfort. This transition can take time and is not always easy. But when you get to the other side, it’s wonderful!

I teach you how to pay attention to your movement in a different way. By learning what signals and qualities to sense for and why they’re important, you’ll learn what healthy action feels like.

Working together.

Take one of my classes if you’re looking for a gentle movement practice and you have minor or no complaints. If you are in acute pain or recovering from an injury, however, consider booking a consultation to see what’s best for your needs.
